Digital Print Operator IV completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways, working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Requires availability to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Maintain understanding of and experience with relevant print technology and equipment
- Assist in operation and clean-up of digital Print area
- Check and verify print output against sample to key information and indicators
- Complete Job Tracking Logs, Production Logs and other required paperwork
- Identify material with poor quality and seek assistance if needed to correct
- Perform proper machine set-up, start-up and shut down
- Troubleshoot job problems or failures and perform maintenance tasks as required for all printer units
- Routinely load and manipulate digital print files
- Maintain acceptable production speeds
- Move inventory to and from staging areas
- Adhere to policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, security, safety and professional conduct
- Use knowledge of PC based processing using windows to perform daily tasks
- May document equipment issues and report them as required
- Assign operators to work centers
- Communicate issues to management to ensure client service level agreement (SLA), drop dates, quality standards and schedules are met
- Complete Shift Turnover Logs and communication
- Ensure operators are maintaining acceptable production speed
- Ensure proper resources are available for operators and machines
- Ensure schedules are being followed and schedule to meet job requirements
- Monitor and address quality performance issues with operators
- Order inventory, sign for and restock inventory
- Train less experienced peers
