Job Description
Periodic Labs is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lab Technician to support the daily operations of its high-throughput materials experimentation facility. The ideal candidate will have a science or engineering background and be comfortable working with instruments, taking pride in precision and consistency, and thinking critically about how to automate or optimize workflows.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, mechanical or chemical engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical lab setting
- A demonstrated ability to follow detailed SOPs with precision and maintain high standards of consistency and cleanliness
- Comfort performing physical, repetitive tasks carefully — and the motivation to make them more efficient over time
- Technical curiosity and eagerness to learn how to operate, maintain, and improve complex equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication — you document clearly, flag problems early, and collaborate well across technical and non-technical teammates
