Perkins&Will is seeking an Interior Designer III - Healthcare to join their team. The role involves designing healthcare facilities, developing interior design concepts, and executing contract documents. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of experience in interior design, a bachelor's degree in interiors, architecture, or a related discipline, and LEED GA certification within 6 months of hire.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in interior design, execution, and living design
- Proficiency in BIM, building codes and guidelines, programming, planning, and site analysis
- Ability to exercise critical judgement in creating materials and models for client presentations
- Develop graphic communication skills to illustrate design concepts
- Influence and manipulate design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale
- Research manufacturers and select colors, finishes, materials, lighting, and furniture for interior application
- Begin to take ownership of project scope, budgets, and deliverables
- Provide programming and space planning analysis as well as area calculations
- Implement a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects
- Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance
- Support growth of others
- Express curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large
- Take increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities
- Participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups
- Communicate ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others
- Coordinate effectively and participate in meetings with clients, partners, and consultants
