Associate UI Designer

Perr&Knight is seeking an Associate UI Designer to support UI execution across enterprise applications. The role involves translating workflows and requirements into UI, executing day-to-day UI design work, and collaborating with engineers to deliver consistent, accessible interfaces.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1-3 years of UI or digital product design experience
• Portfolio required; should demonstrate strong UI craft and explain design decisions
• Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, and color theory
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for pixel-level UI quality and able to produce clean, consistent designs that translate well to development
• Solid understanding of interaction design principles and component behavior
• Familiarity with accessibility fundamentals
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and interest in learning front-end concepts; experience with component-based frameworks is a plus
• Desire to build for the long term with scalable, flexible design systems
• Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred)
• Clear communicator who collaborates well with engineers and cross-functional partners
• A growth mindset and ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment
