As a Temporary Procurement Associate, you will support internal customers and assist in purchasing materials and services of a specialized or complex nature. You will investigate sources of supply, issue bid requests, and review quotations related to Indirect Materials.
Requirements
- Initiate purchase orders, update work items, and manage the administrative lifecycle of procurement requests.
- Provide diligent follow-up on purchase orders, including obtaining tracking numbers, managing backorders, and securing return authorizations.
- Obtain quotes from appropriate resources and analyze bids to make recommendations on contract awards.
- Assist in developing and refining specifications for requested supplies or services.
- Support the consolidation of purchasing efforts across operations to drive cost reduction and reduce administrative overhead.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to assist in the month-end closing process.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and vendor communications.
