Job Description
The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and servicing mechanical and electrical systems and components of commercial transport trucks.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a four-year Truck and Transport Technician Apprenticeship
- 4+ years of work experience
- Red Seal Trade Certification
- Valid inspection ticket to perform commercial vehicle inspections (asset)
- Valid class 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement (asset)
- Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs
- Strong computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong personal organizational skills
