Staff Pharmacist | Full Time

Peterson Health is an independent, not-for-profit rural community hospital seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or PharmD, and experience working as a pharmacist, preferably in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Evaluates providers’ medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, frequency, route of administration and potential allergies and clinical interactions
• Makes recommendations for therapy changes to the provider as appropriate and/or manages therapies in accordance with medical staff approved pharmacy management protocols
• Checks all medications that are dispensed by the pharmacy and ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding medications
• Participates as a critical member of the clinical team and practices and promotes safe medication management
