Perform cardiac diagnostic testing procedures, provide test data and results to physicians, and maintain patient records. Requires specialized knowledge and technical skills in support of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular services.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a CVT
- Basic knowledge of life-threatening EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias
- Basic knowledge of EKG interpretation and pacemaker functions
- Knowledge and ability to perform Holter monitoring, stress testing, and pacemaker procedures
- Ability to perform stress testing and other cardiac diagnostic procedures
- Professional attitude with a strong commitment to patient care and safety
- Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to make independent decisions regarding matters of significance and work with little to no supervision
- Able to work in a team environment, interact positively with team members, and work outside core business hours as needed
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Keenly attentive to detail
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- High level of proficiency with PC based software programs
- Compliance with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g. face mask, goggles. Latex/non-latex gloves) as needed
- Ability to perform physical demands such as turning, bending, squatting, kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.
