SQUARE SHEAR/POWER BRAKE SET UP/OPERATOR

The Press Brake Setup/Operator & Shear Operator is responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment to cut and bend stainless steel and aluminum components to specification, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

• Set up and operate press brake and square shear equipment to perform cutting and forming operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to produce parts within specification.
• Verify part dimensions using appropriate measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.).
• Maintain production efficiency targets in alignment with departmental goals.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
• Ensure parts meet quality requirements and customer specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, waste reduction, process optimization).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to attendance policies, ensuring punctuality and reliability in reporting for shifts.
• Comply with all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in training sessions and safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
