As a Senior Hardware Engineer specialising in Digital FPGA at Pico Technology, you will be at the heart of our high speed data acquisition architecture. You will design and implement RTL that interfaces high performance ADCs with PC streaming protocols, pushing the boundaries of what our instruments can achieve.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing and developing high performance solutions using VHDL or Verilog
- Strong grasp of digital and analogue hardware design principles
- Experience developing integrated, multi-layered PCB solutions
- Deep understanding of signal integrity, noise mitigation, and crosstalk management in high speed, mixed signal circuits
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware faults using simulation and rigorous, data-driven test methodologies
- Excellent skills in translating complex technical data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail focussed and inquisitive approach
- Organisational skills to deliver high quality work within planned Agile timescales
- Experience with Vivado, ModelSim, or Git; scripting knowledge (Python/TCL); or expertise in Clock Domain Crossing and High Level Synthesis
