
Job description
This position is a great opportunity for a Registered Dietician to educate diabetes patients on improving quality of life through diet and nutrition. Works closely with the entire medical staff and nursing staff to prepare patients for discharge in a safe, efficient manner.
Provides direct patient care in the acute care and ambulatory settings, provides tools and skills for homecare to patients and families, makes recommendations to hospital staff for changes in diabetes management.
Serves as an educational and informational resource to all hospital staff and the community, requires current License as Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), or Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or RN with emphasis on diabetes education.
