Job Description
Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support patient care in Kono, Sierra Leone. The role involves performing diagnostic testing, analyzing specimens, maintaining equipment, and adhering to quality and safety standards. PIH is committed to improving health systems and delivering high-quality care in Sierra Leone, focusing on community health and capacity building.
Requirements
- Receive, label, and process clinical specimens (blood, urine, fluids, etc.).
- Perform biochemical, hematological, or microbiological tests.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment.
- Maintain documentation for compliance and traceability.
- Adhere to biosafety, infection prevention, and chemical safety procedures.
- Maintain QC and proficiency testing.
- Complete reporting and communication.
- Perform routine maintenance and escalate technical faults.
- Maintain documentation for compliance.
