Job Description
The Substation Technician C is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and systems. This includes working with high voltage systems, climbing heights, and operating various types of heavy equipment. The position requires 2-4 years of working knowledge of substation equipment and the ability to work independently or with others, frequently working in confined spaces and at heights up to 125 feet above ground.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of working knowledge of substation equipment
- Commercial Drivers’ License
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to 125 feet above ground
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces/areas
- Ability to work independently or with others
- Knowledge of substation structural drawings
