Job Description
This part-time or full-time position is for a Charge Nurse, with shifts typically extending from 6 PM to 6 AM (next day pay). The role involves direct nursing care to residents and supervision of nursing assistants. This requires strict adherence to facility policies and regulations to ensure high quality of care.
Requirements
- Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon resident admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans in accordance with policies.
- Transcribe physician’s orders to resident charts.
- Chart nurses’ notes descriptively and informatively.
- Fill out and complete accident/incident reports.
- Fill out and complete transfer forms.
- Report all discrepancies in the resident's medical record.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
- Verify the identity of the resident.
- Ensure appropriate documentation.
- Perform routine charting duties.
