Job Description
Our client is a leading international development organization seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Manager to join their team in Kampala, Uganda. The successful candidate will work closely with local partners and stakeholders to ensure compliance with international health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in an international development context
- Knowledge of international HSE standards and regulations
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a diverse team
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to travel to project sites within Uganda as required
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
