Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting duties, such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, sales and use tax calculations, and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

• Compile and analyze information gathered and prepare for general ledger entry, as assigned
• Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts; create summary reports as needed; researching and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
• Reconcile Bank Accounts, both domestic and foreign, researching and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
• Prepare Sales & Use Tax calculations and accruals for various states by reviewing all required vendor invoices; in a complete, timely and accurate manner
• Assist Fixed Asset Accountant in updating records and reconciliations relating to fixed asset activities
• Complete Sub-Tenant monthly billing and maintain spreadsheet
• Various journal entries and reconciliations for foreign offices, as assigned
• Perform research and prepare schedules relating to annual audits, as assigned
• Perform other duties as necessary
