Vice President, Alternatives Finance Control (Alternative Fund Services)

PIMCO is seeking a high-caliber finance and accounting professional to join the Alternatives Finance team as a Vice President. The successful candidate will establish end-to-end ownership of a critical financial function, overseeing external service providers, enhancing operational efficiency, and leading strategic initiatives aligned with the firm's growth priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance operations.
• Strong foundation in accounting and internal controls (CPA preferred).
• Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Exposure to investment funds, alternatives, or asset management preferred (not required).
• Experience overseeing external vendors or operating within scaled service models.
• Proven ability to drive projects forward and operate independently with a high degree of accountability.
• Strong communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to embrace and effectively use new technologies, including AI-enabled tools, with a mindset oriented toward continuous innovation, adaptability, and supporting future-focused business and client expectations.
