Job Description
The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring, patrolling, and enforcing security protocols at assigned Pittsburgh Water facilities, including the Water Treatment Plant and ancillary facilities. The position requires enforcing regulations, performing routine checks, and maintaining a high level of security.
Requirements
- Enforce regulations designed to prevent breaches of security
- Perform routine checks of offices, laboratories, corridors, parking lots, storage sites, and other such locations
- Oversee visitor management at assigned Pittsburgh Water facilities
- Provide and maintain a high level of security in and around the buildings
- Comply with established procedures pertaining to lost and found articles
- Assist with traffic operations at Pittsburgh Water facilities
- Conduct rover foot patrols, both interior and exterior, as well as motorized patrol
- Respond to fire, intrusion, and other alarms
- Document all reports of crime, security violations, or incidents
