Job Description
The Placer County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff I. This is an entry-level position in the sworn Deputy Sheriff series. The job involves performing law enforcement, community-based policing, and crime prevention work. The Deputy Sheriff I will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, enforcing state and local laws, conducting investigations, and maintaining safety and security for all personnel in the courtroom.
Requirements
- Completion of the twelfth grade or GED
- Possession of the California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certified Regular Basic course completion certificate or equivalency certificate
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment
