Job Description
Planet is a global company that designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites. They are seeking a Lab Manager, R&D to lead their development workspace and provide precision solder rework for non-flight hardware. The role requires a strong background in precision SMT soldering and hot air rework, as well as proficiency with basic test instrumentation and inventory management.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a scientific field
- Deep experience in precision SMT soldering and hot air rework
- Proficiency with basic test instrumentation
- Hands-on experience in a machine shop environment
- Solid background in inventory management
- IPC-J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or equivalent certification
