Job Description
The PCA Trainer works in conjunction with and provides individual hands-on training in service delivery to Health Care Associates (HCA’s), Patient Care Associates (PCA’s) and other clinical support staff.
Requirements
- Training in service delivery
- Determining individual training needs
- Improving level of proficiency in various aspects of responsibilities
- Maintaining standards of PPGNY and the NYC Health department
- Collecting pathology tissue for evaluation
- Completing patient registration
- Assisting in abortion service
- Documenting in the electronic medical record
- Promoting optimum center operations
- Participating in health center/affiliate efforts
- Assessing flow of patients through health center
- Ensuring charge capture and financial reporting
- Ensuring access to interpreter services
- Providing health education and care
- Performing laboratory tests
- Completing laboratory requisitions
- Following lab and quality assurance protocols
- Maintaining clinical skills and competencies
