As a Sourcing Manager at Plexus, you will identify materials suitable for corporate contracts, develop and administer contracts to achieve cost savings, and cultivate strategic supplier relationships. You will work with a team to drive operational excellence and cost reduction targets, and support sites in the region when critical component escalations arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field
- Procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence
- Strong experience driving KPIs
- Demonstrated commodity management expertise
- Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
- Strong data analysis and Decision-making capabilities
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Project management experience
- Cross-Border Labor Compliance: Knowledge of Mexican labor laws (LFT) and the IMMEX/Maquiladora program
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Analysis: Ability to look beyond unit price to account for logistics, inventory carrying costs, and nearshoring advantages
- Supplier Risk Management: Experience developing US or regionalization strategies
- Contract Negotiation: Deep experience negotiating Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with raw material indexation
- APQP & PPAP Knowledge: Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning and the Production Part Approval Process
- Should-Cost Modeling: Ability to use technical knowledge of die casting and machining to build 'bottom-up' cost models
