Sourcing Manager

Role Overview

As a Sourcing Manager at Plexus, you will be responsible for identifying materials suitable for corporate contracts, developing and administering contracts, and developing supply chain strategies to yield component contracts at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). You will work with a global team to collaborate on impactful work, join an inclusive culture, and be empowered to reach your full potential through various development programs.

What You Will Do

Your key job accountabilities will include ensuring commercial and cost savings benefits are realized at the P&L level, identifying opportunities for operational excellence and cost saving, supporting sites in the region, and providing functional guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field, or a Master’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence
• Strong experience driving KPIs
• Demonstrated commodity management expertise
• Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
• Strong data analysis and Decision-making capabilities
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Project management experience
• Cross-Border Labor Compliance: Knowledge of Mexican labor laws (LFT) and the IMMEX/Maquiladora program
• Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Analysis: Ability to look beyond unit price to account for logistics, inventory carrying costs, and nearshoring advantages
• Supplier Risk Management: Experience developing US or regionalization strategies
• Contract Negotiation: Deep experience negotiating Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with raw material indexation
• APQP & PPAP Knowledge: Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning and the Production Part Approval Process
• Should-Cost Modeling: Ability to use technical knowledge of die casting and machining to build 'bottom-up' cost models
