Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Podium Automation is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of electrical schematics, reporting directly to the CTO. The successful candidate will translate customer design requirements into build-ready electrical schematics and oversee final validation testing of panels prior to ship.

Requirements

• Translate customer design requirements into build-ready UL 508A compliant electrical schematics
• Build out Podium’s component database and develop schematic templates to standardize design methodology, panel layout, and schematic aesthetics
• Test, implement, and provide feedback on new software tools that help speed up the schematic creation process
• Support the automation of the panel build process through testing of new methods and tools, and ensuring necessary information is digitized during the design phase
• Oversee final validation testing of panels prior to ship
• Be an internal expert on supplier offerings, staying up-to-date on new product features and maximizing the value Podium can supply to its customers through strong manufacturer and distributor relationships
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and partner with operations supervisors on upskilling our assembly technicians
