Senior Database Support Engineer

As a Senior Database Support Engineer, you'll provide operational support for enterprise database platforms across various environments, monitor database health, and troubleshoot issues. You'll work closely with application teams, support teams, and database engineers to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of database services. Our Technology team is constantly evolving our firm's IT infrastructure and engineering capabilities, positioning us at the forefront of a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience delivering services on multiple database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or Sybase
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based database services including AWS Aurora, RDS DB, EC2, EBS, and/or S3.
• Hands-on expertise with scripting using PowerShell, Korn Shell, Python, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of observability tooling and operational monitoring design
• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure with strong ownership and an accountability mindset
• Ability to work effectively across time zones and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for building scalable, reliable, self-service platforms
