Software Engineer, Equities Middle Office 1

Point72's Technology team is evolving the firm's IT infrastructure and engineering capabilities, positioning it at the forefront of a rapidly evolving technology landscape. As a Software Engineer, you will build software applications, develop software solutions, and drive architecture of core platforms, leveraging AI tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java based technologies
• Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives and associated accounting, settlement, affirmation processing
• Strong SQL development and experience developing large-scale data warehouses
• Experience developing projects based on messaging architectures, high volume streaming, and/or transaction processing systems
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks
• Experience with building micro services, Kubernetes based platforms, and AWS
• Strong Experience in Java
• Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular/React
• Experience working with industry-known prime broker reconciliation software
