We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support liquid paint manufacturing processes, with a focus on robotic, solvent-based painting operations. The role involves developing, improving, and sustaining safe, efficient, and repeatable processes while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and design engineering.
Requirements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across paint processes to improve cycle times, reduce scrap and downtime, and optimize equipment, tooling, and energy usage.
- Provide hands-on process and tooling troubleshooting to resolve production issues and improve process stability and throughput.
- Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard work to support consistent execution.
- Support BOM and routing development and maintenance to ensure accurate manufacturing execution and cost visibility.
- Analyze process failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Design and evaluate part fixtures and tooling to maximize density, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
- Train, develop, and technically guide robot programmers and process technicians on setup, processing, and problem-solving techniques.
- Recommend, justify, and support implementation of capital equipment, including establishing spare parts lists and preventive maintenance frequencies.
- Partner with design engineering on new project start-ups, supporting transition from development into stable production.
