Job Description
The Grinder Operator is responsible for daily setup and operation of centerless grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of fiberglass composite workpieces to blueprint specifications.
Requirements
- Set up and operate centerless grinding machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Monitor the grinding process and adjust machine settings
- Inspect finished parts using measurement instruments
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Collaborate with production supervision, quality control, and engineering teams
- Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Perform additional duties as assigned
