Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective planning, execution, and supervision of terminal operations and staff. This includes ensuring efficient, safe, and productive operations for customers, terminal area, warehouse, and cargo.

Requirements

• Provide reliable service to internal and external customers
• Manage and direct work activities of management, staff, labor, foremen, and other personnel
• Develop short-range business plans to achieve company goals and objectives
• Ensure payroll accuracy and make appropriate changes as needed
• Identify areas of cost reduction and lead process improvement initiatives
• Direct the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly statistics for productivity and operational reports
• Actively champion and manage the company's safety program
• Counsel and discipline Foremen, Supervisory Clerks, and ILA personnel as necessary
