Job Description
We're seeking a Sr Dept Manager - Quality Control to join our team at Ports America. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our operations and driving the future of supply chain logistics and marine terminal operations. Requirements
- Following each production planning meeting, ensure there are QC inspectors assigned to each of the process areas to be worked on by the Production teams by coordinating with the Department Manager and/or Survey Supervisor daily.
- Work with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure adequate labor levels are met for the upcoming demands.
- Report to the QC Manager concerning recurring or serious deficiencies, as they occur.
- Ensure that all QC records and files required by customers are maintained and stored as required.
- Update and maintain QC employee time and attendance records.
- Ensure department training courses are up to date and properly documented.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Assist in performing internal ISO audits as required.
- Assist in the gathering, documenting and recording of quality data.
- Perform internal quality system audits as required.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the documentation of ISO forms and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
