Job Description
We are hiring an economics reporter in Ottawa to cover the Bank of Canada and issues of national economic and business interest for the federal Parliamentary Bureau.
Requirements
- 3+ years of reporting experience, preferably in financial journalism.
- A passion for economics and understanding of the basics, including GDP, inflation and monetary policy
- Experience working in a daily newsroom under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with Parliament Hill is an asset
- Canadian Securities Course is an asset
- Experience with data analysis is an asset
- Video or podcast experience is an asset
Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
