The Audiologist will provide specialized, holistic assessment and goal-orientated treatment through a patient-centered model of care. They will provide high-quality Audiology services across various service areas, including neurology and neurosurgery, ENT, and pediatrics.
Requirements
- Provides specialist, critically reasoned and holistic, Audiology assessments for inpatients and outpatients
- Provides audiological diagnostic support to ENT clinics
- Provides vestibular assessment to support ENT clinic
- Provides neonatal hearing screening and follows up test to support neonatologist
- Provides analysis, assessment, and interpretation of a broad spectrum of adult diagnostic and rehabilitation, and some pediatric test results
- Provides goal-orientated, evidence-based and clinically reasoned treatment plans/recommendations
- Identifies, recommends, prescribes, and implements suitable assistive hearing devices
- Takes an active role within the development of the Audiology service
- Provides effective and safe patient (and family) education
- Advocates the benefits of Audiology and assistive hearing devices
