The Draftsman develops and plans drawings and sketches using AutoCAD software, prepares visual depiction of a product to be manufactured, and prepares production drawing, shop drawing, JO, AS built drawings, etc.
Requirements
- Work within project timelines to deliver drawings and designs on schedule
- Address design challenges and propose solutions to ensure functionality and manufacturability
- Consider cost implications in the selection of materials and components
- Effectively communicate design ideas and changes with the design team and other stakeholders
- Create architectural drawings for buildings or structures, including floor plans and elevations
- Provide detailed drawings for electrical or mechanical components, incorporating technical specifications, as relevant
- Create as-built drawings to reflect the final state of a project for documentation purposes
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure construction aligns with technical drawings
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
- Present design concepts and technical drawings to project teams or clients as needed
- Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving technical drawings and design documents
- Coordinates and oversees all onsite material testing, ensure that all such testing with spec and codes
- Ensures weekly report detailing exact progress of all material requirements and areas of concern/delay
- Ensures all shop drawings are prepared accurately followed by all as-built drawings
- Close out technical submittals to be made available
- Closes out material submittals to be made available and ensures that during the course of the Project, all required material submittals required for close out are prepared in advance
- Leads and support teams in enhancing the competencies through facilitating effective coaching and mentoring
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
- Proficiency in financial analysis techniques to assess project costs, analyze budget variances, and identify trends, supporting informed decision-making and cost optimization strategies
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and techniques to develop, monitor, and manage project budgets effectively, ensuring accurate financial planning and allocation of resources
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including cost accounting methods and financial reporting standards, to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements
- Strong data analysis skills to collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies to inform cost control measures and strategic planning
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members, conveying financial information clearly, presenting analysis findings, and providing recommendations for cost management and optimization
