The HSE Officer assists to perform execution of safety practices and procedures which includes implementation of Project HSE plan, accomplishing task analysis, evaluation of hazardous and risk conditions, recommendation of control measures, and investigation of accidents/incident, implementation of training programs and safeguard execution of work to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards relevant to the industry, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks in the workplace and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes, analyze contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
- Skill in developing and delivering HSE training programs and initiatives to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders, promoting awareness and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with management, employees, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders, conveying HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives clearly and persuasively.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
