Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for carrying out detailed quantification for multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring tender documents meet requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates. The role manages project budgets, administers construction contracts, and implements cost control measures. The Quantity Surveyor also identifies project risks and develops risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Manage project budgets throughout the construction process
• Assist in the tendering process, including preparing tender documents and negotiating contracts
• Administer construction contracts, including reviewing contract terms and processing change orders
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings
• Implement cost control measures to manage project expenses effectively
• Identify and assess project risks, such as cost overruns, schedule delays, and scope changes
• Ensure construction work meets quality standards and specifications
• Prepare regular progress reports and cost reports for project stakeholders
