Rig Driller

The Rig Driller leads and supervises drilling operations on the rig floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective execution of drilling activities.

Requirements

• Oversee and execute daily drilling activities according to approved well programs.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Operate drilling equipment, including rotary tables, top drives, and drilling motors.
• Monitor drilling parameters and report anomalies to the Rig Manager and Drilling Supervisor.
• Enforce compliance with well control practices and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure rig equipment is operational and well-maintained.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce HSE awareness.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs and operational reports.
• Train and mentor junior drillers and rig crew members.
• Participate in incident investigations and contribute to corrective action plans.
