Surveyor

The Surveyor performs surveying works for activities of properties and sites to provide information for building construction, alterations, valuations, land use, and map making. This position involves preparation and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

Requirements

• Conduct land surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and features
• Determine and mark property boundaries, easements, rights-of-way, and other land divisions accurately
• Create maps, charts, and plats based on survey data
• Provide layout services for construction projects
• Establish horizontal and vertical control points for surveying projects
• Collect, compile, and analyze survey data
• Prepare legal documents, such as property descriptions, survey plats, and boundary certificates
• Conduct quality checks and verification of survey data and results
• Communicate with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
