Director of State Policy and Government Partnerships

PowerLines, a national nonprofit organization, seeks a full-time Director of State Policy and Government Partnerships to expand its partnerships with state-level policymakers, manage coalitions, and tackle complex problems. The ideal candidate will have experience building relationships with state policymakers, working on bipartisan initiatives, and managing a team.

Requirements

• 7-15+ years of experience in state-level policy, politics, government affairs, government relations, or a related field
• Experience with energy policy and utility issues or ability to learn complex topics quickly
• Ability to build relationships with policymakers, particularly state-level policymakers
• Strong project management and emotional intelligence skills
• Capacity to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced startup environment
