Job Description
As a Direct Support Provider, you will provide training and assistance to people with daily personal cares, medication administration, community activities, money management, meal preparation, laundry assistance, and leisure activities.
Requirements
- Monitor and assist people with personal cares.
- Instruct and assist people in food preparation, clean-up, and sanitary practices.
- Encourage grooming and dress according to the person’s preferences, cultural considerations and social norms.
- Administer medications and treatments once trained.
- Communicate concerns, suggestions, potential problems to supervisors in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner.
- Chart daily program information.
- Complete cleaning and assist persons served in cleaning tasks.
