Systems Administrator I

The System Administrator I position deploys and manages servers/systems ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and security controls. The System Administrator will work closely with the Division of Student Affairs to accommodate their server/computer needs as well as providing assistance with installations and maintenance of software programs, ensuring compliance with University requirements. This position helps individuals' daily operations run smoothly.

Requirements

• Work with stakeholders to accommodate technological needs and support departmental initiatives
• Provide assistance with the installation and maintenance of all software, systems and servers
• Monitor and manage Help Desk inquiries via Team Dynamix for assigned area of responsibility
• Serve as a backup for university Audio Visual (AV) support within assigned areas of responsibility
• Maintain all security controls and procedures to ensure compliance with university requirements
• Provide technical training and assistance (software and equipment) for faculty and staff
• Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders and CITE management team to create a collaborative and cohesive work environment
• Maintain a flexible and agile schedule as some activities may require support during after-hours or weekends
• Performs other duties as assigned
