Job Description
Automation Controls Technician supports and optimizes EverGreen and rig-level control systems across Precisionâs North American fleet, collaborating with teams to prepare for deployments and troubleshooting issues in the field.
Requirements
- 5 years' experience with drilling rig control systems, power systems, and integrations
- Strong working knowledge of drilling rig activities, rig electrical systems, communications protocols, and measurement systems
- Journeyman Electrician or Technical Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Experience with PLC/HMI/SBC platforms common to industrial rigs (e.g., Beckhoff, Woodward, ABB, Moxa)
- Advanced troubleshooting of industrial networking and instrumentation
