The Risk Management Intern will support Santa Clara University’s risk, insurance, and compliance operations. This role provides hands-on experience with institutional risk assessment, insurance and claims processes, and policy implementation. The internship offers direct exposure to internal university leaders as well as external professionals (insurance brokers, risk associations, peer institutions).
Requirements
- Current student in good standing, preferably pursuing a degree in business, finance, law, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., prior student employment, team lead roles, mentoring, or training responsibilities) preferred.
- Interest in risk management, compliance, insurance, or university operations preferred.
