Job Description
The Resin Technician is responsible for gathering, weighing, and blending materials, as well as maintaining supply of raw materials to machines. They will also assist in purging machines, cleaning magnets, and documenting movement of materials. Additionally, they will monitor inventory levels, check equipment, and unload bulk resin trailers. They will also be responsible for food safety, quality, and site safety.
Requirements
- Gather, weigh, and blend materials
- Maintain supply of raw materials to machines
- Grind material, label regrind, and keep grinding area organized and clean
- Assist in purging machines and cleaning magnets in the hopper throat
- Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines
- Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork
- Gather lot control information for Quality Control
- Help to monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes
- Check equipment (blenders, dye feeders, grinders, etc)
- Unload bulk resin trailers
- Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation
- Maintain safety in the department
- Perform other warehousing and related tasks
- Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards
- Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
- Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after any job completion
- Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product
