Job Description
The Machine Operator takes care of all machine-specific functions, such as configuring equipment, loading and operating machines, and optimizing machine capability.
Requirements
- Operate various production machines within the facility
- Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Maintain logs and records of units produced
- Inspect equipment prior to use
- Calibrate, adjust and correct machine set-ups
- Control and adjust machine settings
- Monitor machine cycles
- Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products
- Read orders, blueprints, and schedules
- Manipulate controls and observe dial indicators
- Set distance points between rolls, parts, guides, meters, and stops
- Position, align, and secure arbors, spindles, coils, mandrels, dies, and other equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
