Job Description
The Baggage Handling Agent ensures the safe, efficient, and accurate loading, unloading, and sorting of passenger luggage while adhering to safety guidelines, operating ground equipment, and working in varying conditions as part of a team. The job involves loading and unloading luggage, sorting and routing baggage, operating baggage handling equipment, and following safety guidelines.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- One year of customer service experience
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
