Job Description
Procom is searching for a Data Center Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and remediating hardware issues, deploying systems, and assisting in gathering telemetry data. The role requires a self-starter with hands-on experience and a range of technical skills, including Windows, Linux, and Mac SysAdmin, VMware vSphere, and SAN and storage technologies.
Requirements
- 1-5 years hands-on experience
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Ability to work weekends, flexible hours, and travel if needed
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Background in supporting troubleshooting efforts on various degrees of hardware
- Windows/Linux/Mac SysAdmin skill set
- VMware vSphere (VCP) certification
- Microsoft MCP certification on various Operation Systems
- Knowledge/use of SAN and storage technologies, NetApp preferred
- Awareness of ITIL, AGILE, and/or DevOps best practices
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN (Switches, VLANs, Routers, VPNs, Firewalls, MPLS and Security)
