Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, NICU - 1.0 FTE

We Are Hiring: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, NICU - 1.0 FTE for 24 hour shifts to cover Birthing center and NICU at WMH and OMH. The NICU provides specialized care for critically ill and premature infants born as early as 22 weeks gestation.

Requirements

• Responsible for the nature and quality of nursing care of critically ill neonates.
• Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH.
• Maintains Neonatal NCC certification
• Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds
• Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU.
• Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue.
• Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff.
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire.
• Possesses computer skills.
• BLS and NRP upon hire
