Job Description
The Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing competitive, market, and product intelligence across the life insurance and annuities landscape. This role provides critical insights that inform product strategy, distribution enablement, and executive decision making.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, product, distribution, or research within the life insurance and annuities industry.
- Strong working knowledge of annuity and life product structures (Fixed, FIA, crediting strategies, compensation structures).
- Experience with CI tools & industry databases (e.g., Morningstar Annuity Intel, Beacon, Wink Intel).
- Ability to interpret competitor rate sheets, statutory filings, product updates, earnings calls, and regulatory changes.
- Strong analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills; ability to structure insights from incomplete or unstructured information.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills; ability to build clear, concise executive ready materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing complex information for business audiences.
- Proven ability to partner cross functionally and influence without authority.
- Experience supporting sales, distribution, or product teams preferred.
