Lead Product Regulatory Advisor

We're seeking a Lead Product Regulatory Advisor to provide strategic legal interpretation and regulatory guidance for complex insurance product filings. This role supports Employee Benefits products primarily, with additional support across Protection and Retirement lines as needed.

Requirements

• Provide legal interpretation and regulatory guidance for complex, multi-line and multi-state insurance product filings
• Assess regulatory requirements impacting Employee Benefits, Protection, and Retirement products
• Partner with Regulatory and Compliance Analysts to evaluate regulatory bulletins, trends, and filing objections
• Lead legal positioning for state filing objections, conditions, and negotiations
• Support escalation strategies for complex filing objections requiring specialized regulatory legal judgment
• Advise on filing strategy, sequencing, and state prioritization
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance
• Identify legal and regulatory risks early in the product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with filing operations to ensure regulatory submissions align with approved pricing, plan design, and system configuration
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on product filing legal issues
• Contribute to the evolution of the filing function from a reactive support model to a strategic enabler of compliant growth
