Join Protolabs as a Manufacturing Engineer and be responsible for planning, designing, setting up, modifying, optimising and monitoring specialist processes. The role involves designing and procuring jigs, tooling, and equipment, leading projects to integrate new products/processes into manufacturing, and collaborating with R&D to stay at the forefront of industry innovations.
Requirements
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of CNC machining, plastic injection moulding, or rapid prototyping
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, CamWorks, or MasterCam
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Effective collaboration across company workgroups
- Independent and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience with measurement instruments
- Experience with metalworking machinery (mills, lathes, drills, grinders)
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Project management experience
- Ability to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Experience with Kaizen implementation
